The Flemish region is the one where the proportion is the lowest: 1 worker out of 514 (0.19%) is with disabilities. Wallonia is the region that recorded the highest drop in the past year, where this number went from 0.38% to 0.31% (18.4% less).
“Wever’s government wants, by 2029, 80% of Belgians in working age have a job. But we are not yet there. According to the latest figures from the Statbel Statistical Agency, the occupancy rate in our country amounts to 72.8%.
