The 3 × 3 2026 basketball world cup will take place in Warsaw. The FIBA formalized the allocation of the event to the Polish capital on Tuesday. The tournament will bring together 40 of the best national male and female teams around the world, at the heart of city centeralongside the emblematic palace of culture and science.
FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis explained this choice at a press conference, alongside the President of the Polish basketball federation, Grzegorz Bachanski, and city representatives. “Bringing the World Cup to Warsaw for the first time emphasizes Poland’s strong commitment to 3 × 3 basketball. With its proven success in the organization of high -level events, Poland is a natural choice »he commented. Poland had already welcomed the 3 × 3 World Cup for 23 years in 2023, in Lublin.
