Following the muscular lesion contracted by Timothé Vergiat against Chartres and the recent injury of Maxime Sconard, the staff made the decision to strengthen the rear lines in order to approach the end of the season in the best possible measures.
The choice fell on Jordan Davis (27, post 2, 1m88, US/AZE), recent semi-finalist of the Playoffs in Superliga (1st division-Kosovo) with the club of Sigal Prishtina.
American with an Azerbaijani passport, Jordan is carrying out his 4 university years within the college of Northen Colorado Bears (23.5 points on average in 18-19). He then launched his professional career in 19-20 where he will successively evolve in Manresa (1st division-Spain), Rasta Vechta (1st division-Germany) and Hapoel Tel Aviv (1st Division-Israel)
During this same season, Jordan discovered the BCL (Basket Ball Champion’s League) where he was dominant with Rasta Vechta (19.2 points on average in 6 games). Following his convincing performances, he joined the Spanish club of the Ucam Murcia (1st division) where he will evolve for 3 seasons (2021-2023) with there also noted performances in BCL.
Passed this season by Rio Breogán then Menorca (2nd Spanish division) where he was dominant (26.5 points on average in 4 games), Jordan then joins Greece (Prometheas Patras) where he will notably distinguish himself against Panathinaikos (22 points) and Olympiakos (17 points) before going to play the Playoffs de Superliga.
-The club makes every effort to make Jordan qualified for the meeting counting for the 37th day which will be disputed on the Pau-Lacq-Orthez prosecution on Friday, May 9.
We welcome Jordan among us and wish a speedy recovery to Timothe who will remain, just like Maxime, very close to the group.
David Morabito’s reaction : “Jordan is a player with an experience of the European European Cups and European divisions (Spain, Greece …) It is a chance for us to come across a player like him at that time of the season. He will bring us his energy and his intensity on this end of the championship and on possible playoffs ”
Julien Monclar’s reaction : “Still touched by injuries, a fortiori on the same position, it was our duty to react as quickly as possible from this weekend as the team deserves it. Regarding Jordan, this is a superb opportunity, he has the references of a player at European level. The end of the season of his team in Kosovo fell at the right time for us ”
