The information site specializing in street Art www.trompe-l-oeil.info is organizing the 11th edition of Golden Street-Art, the most beautiful mural created in France in 2024! After two bronze medals, will an Aurecois fresco win gold? The nominated artist has already won the Golden in 2022.
57 frescoes created throughout France were preselected, including the work of Wild Drawing “Point de Fusion”, painted in September 2024 on the occasion of the Dyeing Festival in Aurec-sur-Loire. For this Aurecoise fresco to be one of the ten finalists, voters can put a “Like” on the corresponding photo on the Facebook page of the information site: https://www.facebook.com/fresquesderues
Votes for the 1st round are open until Sunday February 2 at 8 p.m.
Internet users vote on Facebook among 57 frescoes in order to keep only the 10 with the most “Likes”. Then, the floor will again be given to Internet users (3 points) and to a jury of eight photographers (8 points).
Who is Wild Drawing?
WD aka Wild Drawing, is an artist born in Bali and graduated from Fine Arts and applied arts. He started painting in the streets in 2000. Currently, he lives and works in Athens, Greece where he has created numerous frescoes.
-He comments on his mural with these lines: “While just 100 companies are responsible for more than 70% of global greenhouse gas emissions – which cause global warming and lead to climate change – they are still trying to convince us that everything is a question of individual responsibility. This is why he offers us two children looking out the window, seeing a mother polar bear and her cub lying in melting ice.
This artist has already won the Golden Street-Art in 2022 for the creation of a work in Morlaix.
Aurec in 3rd place in 2024
Last year, it was the Aurecoise fresco by Aéro Urban painter which rose to 3rd place on the podium.
