On the other hand, DJI’s new drone is compatible with the RC 2 and RC-N3 controllers with a range of up to 13 km when streaming 1080p images locked at 60 FPS thanks to OcuSync 4.0 (O4). For reference, the drone can transmit content to the DJI Fly app at a maximum speed of 30MB/s. The Flip also boasts flight times of up to 31 minutes, but only in ideal conditions.
Additionally, DJI equips the Flip with a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor that natively produces 48 MP with an f/1.7 aperture and Dual Native ISO while recording footage at up to 4K and 60 FPS. The Flip can capture slow-motion footage at 100 FPS in 4K as well with support offered for a 10-bit D-Log M color mode. As usual, DJI also integrates various software features, including FocusTrack, MasterShots and Hyperlapse.
The DJI Flip starts at $439 on its own and increases to $639 with an RC-2 controller. The new drone can also be purchased as part of a Fly More Combo for $779 with a handful of additional accessories. For details, please visit the DJI website at https://store.dji.com/product/dji-flip for details.
