“I work mainly on light”, this atypical artist exhibits at Cadillac

In Cadillac, in Gironde, Étamine Concept store is hosting, for several months, the exhibition ofpainter Lionel Jaquet. Originally from Médoc, he has been drawing since the age of 8 answithout ever having taken a lesson. It offers tablesChinese ink and oil paint.

I mainly work on light. Indian ink requires a lot of care, because it dries very quickly and does not allow any retouching, while oil paint dries more slowly and allows you to correct any blunders.

Three paintings exhibited at Cadillac for this painter with an atypical profile

Three of his 70 tableaux are on display at the gallery. In addition to his passion for painting, Lionel Jaquet worked as aethologist : “An ethologist is a horse behaviorist. I had a horse farm in Loupiacwhere I gave ethology courses. A theme which is also found in two of the paintings on display.

He then stopped ethology to turn to a career in business manager which has just started.

His brother, Loïc Jaquet, is director the movies.

The shop, etamine concept store is open Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Outside of these hours, visits can be made by appointment.
