He thought it was trash. A technician at the LAM museum in Lisse, the Netherlands, threw a work of art by French artist Alexandre Lavet into the trash.
Titled All the good times we spent togetherthis work was installed in a glass elevator shaft and looked at first glance like two ordinary empty beer cans, one crushed. But they were actually meticulously hand-painted cans in acrylic.
Find “a safe place to place them”
“A lot of time and effort went into creating them”indicates the museum, which was able to recover them in time and placed them “in a more traditional place, on a base, so that they can rest after their adventure”.
In the long term, the museum is thinking “seriously in a careful place to place them” so that they no longer end up in the trash and appeal to the public.
