600 inhabitants, and an unattended historic building. Since the beginning of January 2025, the housing unit of the Corbusier de Firminy, in the Loire, has no longer had a goalkeeper. A departure that worries the occupants of the most famous building in the Stéphanoise metropolis.

His father watched over the building for nine years, before the social landlord, Habitat and metropolis, does not decide on its transfer to another building. Despite the mobilization of the inhabitants for several months, the goalkeeper had to leave his duties.
Fabrice Brault has been living in for almost 20 years in the residential unit, and is president of the association of inhabitants. Since the goalkeeper’s departure, cleaning has been entrusted to an external company. An answer that is not suitable for the association, which regularly welcomes visitors.
