[MHSC-ASM] Techno, Miracle and Hope…

sometimes has improbable moments. This Friday evening, at La Mosson, when all seemed lost against AS Monaco, the Pailladins supporters proved that they had more than one trick up their sleeve. Trailing at half-time, the players seemed overwhelmed against a well-established Monegasque team. But that was without counting on a… musical intervention, to say the least unexpected.

As the second half began timidly, the Butte Paillade ultras decided to shake up the stadium in their own way. Exit the usual songs: make way for a powerful sound system and a techno session that made the stands shake. A rave in the middle of a match? Yes, in Montpellier, everything is possible. The atmosphere took on the air of a festival and, in the space of a few minutes, supporters, unanimously, shared an almost surreal moment.

But no luck: the LFP, always on the lookout for a regulation to enforce, did not enjoy this improvised party. Under pressure, the speaker had to intervene to calm the loud noise. Cut clean, the sound? Maybe, but not the momentum of the players on the field! Inspired by this sudden fervor, the Pailladins achieved the unthinkable: turning around a poorly started match and securing a precious victory.

This evening, Montpellier may have found a miracle recipe to relaunch its season: a little techno, a lot of passion, and a pinch of Jordan. After all, who said that sustain couldn't be played… on a good beat?
