The Spanish photographer Cast ironbased in London for over fifteen years, presents for the first time a solo exhibition in Madrid at flora&fauna.
The exhibition, titled « Layers » (“Layers” in French), presents a ten-year exploration of architecture and urban spaces documented by the photographer.
« Layers » explores how architectural spaces not only serve a physical function but also evoke deep emotions, connecting the past to the present.
Through his lens, Fonta invites viewers to discover the sensations that buildings arouse and to reflect on their history and legacy.
Each facade he documents bears witness to the passage of time, each visual layer revealing the changes and evolution of urban spaces. Fonta uses photography to uncover the stories hidden behind every brick, crack and shadow. The exhibition offers a meditation on architecture as a container for memories and emotions, encouraging viewers to discover the beauty in what often goes unnoticed.
