The criminal brigade of the national police is actively searching for the perpetrator(s) of the stabbing of a teenager yesterday (Sunday January 12, 2025), in Pointe-à-Pitre, on the sidelines of the usual Sunday carnival parade.
The victim, aged 16, who was stung several times in the neck around 10:30 p.m., died.
Witnesses speak of several attackers.
The attacked boy, after being injured in the throat, took refuge in a business on rue Frébault. It was there that he was taken care of by emergency services; he was already in cardio-respiratory arrest. Transferred to the Guadeloupe University Hospital Center (CHUG), in critical condition. It was during the night that he died in hospital.
The investigation is open for murder.
This homicide is the first to be reported in the archipelago, in the year 2025.
