Established in New York, the dealer Stéphane Danant thus has a very sure taste which allows him to juxtapose with relative audacity his favorite artist and much more modern creations since a hundred years separate exactly this painting by Eugène Isabey and this seat that The general would probably have had little taste! Definitely a repeat offender, the gallery owner once again offered a comparable mix at the FAB Paris in November 2023, where his immense Isabey was still alongside (ill. 1, 2 and 3) its furniture.
