A brilliant video mapping to illuminate the Orsay Museum

During the fall, a funny ephemeral spectacle will be orchestrated on the which of Seine. These Thursday 5, Friday 6 and Saturday 7 December, the facade of the Orsay museum will be lit up by a lovely nighttime show put together by students from the Gobelins school. A mapping video impressive which comes to accompany the exhibition Caillebotte – Painting mencurrently on view at the institution.

Since October 8, the Orsay museum pays a beautiful tribute to Caillebotte with his exhibition Painting menand enjoyed great success with Parisians. So, as a highlight of this wonderful cultural event, we will be treated to a superb video mapping on the facade of the museum with its incredible impressionist collection.

Caillebotte in Lightthis is the appointment that is given to you from this Thursday on the Seine side facade of the museum. Free and open to all, this show will be visible from 5:30 p.m. and will run in 18-minute loops throughout the evening. Designed by Graphic Designer Motion Design students from the Gobelins schoolit will be inspired by the work and aesthetics of Caillebotte while integrating current themes.

But the show will not be limited to the visuals, a whole soundtrack has been designed to make the experience even more immersive. To accompany the 11 visual sequences that will illuminate the museum, students from National Superior Conservatory of and Dance of have composed an entire work, which can be listened to via a dedicated platform when the time comes.

In other words, a real adventure awaits you on this historic monument!
