LThe photo was posted on the Facebook page of the Saint-Sauveur foundries in Haute-Saône. The manufacturing of the Nauti-octopus is ending and François Schuiten and the sculptor Pierre Matter went on site to observe the verdigris patina of the impressive sculpture. Hybrid creature, mix between the Nautilus and the octopus from the novel 20,000 leagues under the sea, by Jules Verne, the bronze sculpture will make visible the presence of the writer in his adopted city.

Inauguration on March 24, 2025

6 meters high and weighing 12 tonnes, this order from the mixed economy company Aménagement (SEM), financed by Amiens Métropole, is due to arrive in Amiens in March 2025.

Before being officially inaugurated on March 24, 2025, for the 120th anniversary of the death of Jules Verne in Amiens, the Nauti-octopus will be exhibited in Brussels, city of the comic strip artist François Schuiten, from November 29, 2024 to March 2025.
