Yesterday, Judith Godrèche appeared on the red carpet of the 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, before the screening of her film Me too. A short film in which his daughter Tess Barthélémy participates, which gives voice to victims of sexual abuse (it was filmed with a thousand women and a few men, victims of sexual violence, who parade in front of the camera). The one who gave a very poignant speech at the Césars on violence against women, a situation she experienced, held her daughter’s hand very tightly (her son Noé Boon was also present). And those of the other members of the film. They then placed their hands over their mouths, as a sign of protest.

This Thursday, May 16, Judith Godrèche was again accompanied by her daughter Tess, but this time on the set of C to you, a program which exceptionally takes place on the Croisette throughout the cinema fortnight. She then revealed a little-known anecdote about his daughterwhile Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine had just said that it was Tess’s first Cannes: “It’s not his first Cannes! She doesn’t really know… Well, she knows, but without knowing it!“What to call out to Babeth:”When she was 1 month old, she came with me, and I breastfed her at the restaurant. It wasn’t very cool!“, said the actress, laughing. We can indeed imagine that taking care of a baby in the middle of the Cannes Film Festival is not an easy task!

Tess very present for her mother

But Tess has grown up a lot since then. And she notably said more about her relationship with her mother and how she experiences her fight: “We are very close with my mother. When something happens in our parents’ lives that takes up space, of course it enters into mine. I will be there to support her, shout louder what she says.” Regarding the film specifically, she adds: ” The people in this film are definitely survivors. This strength, this courage that these anonymous people have to find themselves in the light… The courage: it’s them!
