She announced it herself a few weeks ago: Angèle Salentino, former candidate for Marseille and Holiday of the Angelswas interned in a psychiatric hospital.
Far from being dejected, the young woman then explained in a TikTok video that she had suffered from depression. She said she hoped to be released within a few weeks. For the moment, it seems that Angèle is still in the hospital.
A stay “for your safety”
Guest of Sam Zirah, Nathanya, a great friend of the candidate, indicated that she was always in contact with her from her room. And she gave more details about this dramatic event.
“I was informed the day before his internment. It was Rawell who called me in the night, at 4 a.m. », says Nathanya. She indicates, however, that this stay in a psychiatric hospital is indeed the result of Angèle’s wishes.
“It was his will. She felt the need for her safety. A month before, I was a thousand miles from imagining that”, she adds. But although this initiative was not forced, the shock was harsh for Nathanya.
“It took a bit of a toll on my morale when I found out. It was complicated. I had a little feeling of guilt telling myself that I hadn’t seen that things were going so badly.”regrets the candidate today.
Harassment too present for Angèle Salentino
Sam Zirah asks the young woman if she could have seen signs of this depression in order to avoid this internment. “I think people are good at hiding their emotions. Even more depression. Even more Scorpios. Even more Angèle. He is a very proud person. She fought herself. But there is a certain moment, it only takes a little thing for your brain to do a 360 degrees”confesses Nathanya.
She thus evokes the weight of the harassment that her friend experienced on her mental health. “You see every day people who harassed you on social media, who do that to other people. It’s like you feel taunted every day.”she describes.
Angèle Salentino was notably at the heart of a controversy with Raphaël Pépin. The young woman accused the candidate of acts of psychological violence. She also indicated that he had tried to raise his hands on her, during the filming of Holiday of the Angels.
A serious accusation which led to a complaint for defamation from Raphaël Pépin. In December 2022, justice ruled in favor of the candidate, forcing Angèle Salentino to pay 12,000 euros in damages.
