Married to Eva Longoria from 2007 to 2011, Tony Parker caused the end of this union by flirting with the wife of one of his Spurs teammates. A few months after their divorce, the famous American actress agreed to talk behind the scenes of their breakup.

In addition to his record which is enough to make the vast majority of his counterparts jealous, he can boast of having formed one of the most glamorous couples in the history of the NBA. Just a few weeks after being crowned MVP of the 2007 Finals, Tony Parker married Eva Longoria, then in full glory as the star actress of Desperate Housewives. However, this idyll ended up coming to a brutal conclusion.

After cheating, Eva Longoria reveals her attitude towards Tony Parker

Despite being married to one of the most adored women on the planet, Parker reportedly flirted via messages with teammate Brent Barry’s ex-wife, Erin. A secret discovered by Longoria and which precipitated the end of their union, recorded in January 2011. Barely a year later, the Hollywood star candidly returned to this breakup in the show “The Conversation With Amanda de Cadenet », broadcast on Lifetime :

Eva Longoria: I am so sure of who I am. I really am! And I’m not proud. I’m just like, “Wow, okay, this is the life you want to live.” » The problem wasn’t who he chose. Truth be told, I’ve gone through times where I asked myself, “Am I not sexy enough?” Am I not beautiful enough? Am I not smart enough? »

But as soon as I started asking myself these questions, I immediately stopped and said to myself, “No, don’t start doing that because you can get stuck in this vicious cycle.”

After briefly questioning herself, Longoria would have dared to take the bull by the horns and ask her husband for explanations. All this, without immediately incriminating him according to his statements:

Eva Longoria: Even when we had the famous discussion, I really wanted to make him comfortable enough to express “the why and the how” because I really wanted to know his reasons. I didn’t want to judge him. I didn’t intend to judge him. I wasn’t planning on being mad at him at that moment. Anger could wait.

A behavior which would therefore have allowed her to receive what she expected from TP9, without having to bear the weight of any responsibility:

Eva Longoria: People say, “What grace! » But that wasn’t it. I just wanted to know, and if you really want to get something from someone, you shouldn’t judge them. (…) It didn’t make me feel better, but it helped me understand.

Although she had reason to be angry with Tony Parker following his infidelity, Eva Longoria would have favored dialogue over settling scores. A very wise choice which did not prevent the end of his relationship, but which gave him a certain peace of mind.
