“The presentation of an honorary distinction is always a solemn moment”underlines the prefect in the preamble. A moment that wants “highlight a talented personality, who works for the development of the territory and the well-being of its fellow citizens. Alicia Orsini is “of this ilk”.

A few days ago, she was made a knight of the Order of Arts and Letters, a distinction awarded by the Minister of Culture and a “mark of recognition of the Nation”. An architect by trade, Alicia Tramoni-Orsini is at the head of a high-profile career: crowned best architect in in 2013, she becomes, at 25, the youngest heritage architect in the country. In 2014 she founded Orma Architettura with François, Jean-Mathieu and Michel, her associates. Since then, the firm has been working “to the transition towards more sober buildings which will meet the challenges of tomorrow”particularly climatic and environmental. In this sense, insists Michel Prosic, “it’s necessary place architecture at the heart of the expectations of our societywe owe it to future generations”.

Alicia Tramoni-Orsini said “very honored that our work is recognized”. Mayor Xavier Poli, for his part, noticed – and appreciated – that “each time a Cortenais person is distinguished, there is a part of this distinction that reflects on our entire city”.
