Reflections of nature: exhibition by Junji Takasago at the House of Culture of Japan, our photos

New free exhibition to discover in the reception hall of the Maison de la culture du Japon in Paris, from May 7 to June 1, 2024. Once again, the Japanese cultural center invites us to go on a journey thanks to the photographs of Junji Takasago , which pay homage to the beauty of nature!

There Japan Culture House in Paris continues to take us on a journey thanks to its beautiful and rich programming. In addition to workshops, shows and even screenings, the Japanese cultural center organizes throughout the year a series of paid exhibitions or even often accessible free of charge. To be discovered on the first level of the establishment located a stone’s throw from the Bir-Hakeim bridge and the Eiffel Tower, certain facilities are also offered on the ground floor, in the lobby of the House of Culture of Japan.

This is the case of the center’s new exhibition. Entitled “ Reflections of nature », this installation is an invitation to travel, to discover beautiful and rich nature, thanks to the sublime photographs of Junji Takasago.

It is with underwater photography that Junji Takasago begins his career. He then met the famous freediver Jacques Mayol, who inspired the film “The big Blue” by Luc Besson. Junji Takasago will also immortalize moments of Jacques Mayol in contact with animals.

His experience continued with several trips to Hawaii and the United States in search of rainbows at night. Lovers of the nature that surrounds us and the animals that inhabit our planet, Junji Takasago became a recognized and very influential photographer in the field.

The photographer, who has visited more than a hundred countries, has published around thirty collections of photos and essays, has exhibited his photos on numerous occasions, is also a committed artist, founding member of the association Oceanic Wildlife Society (OWS). Proof of his fame, Junji Takasago received in 2022 the prestigious “ Wildlife Photographer of the Year ” in the category ” Nature art “.

This spring, the photographer Junji Takasago therefore exhibits his fascinating photos in the reception hall of the Japan Culture House for about four weeks, from May 7 to June 1, 2024. Don’t miss the opportunity to admire the beauty of nature and our beautiful planet thanks to the photos of Junji Takasago ! Head in particular to Whitehorse in Canada to admire the Northern Lights, then to the island of Hokkaido in Japan in the footsteps of a Ural owl, to Bolivia to discover pink flamingos or to Okavango in Botswana to surprise a leopard as well. than the Falkland Islands to marvel at incredible penguins!
