Poorly designed or contaminated during their production, some products can be dangerous for the health of consumers. Every day, several batches of products are withdrawn from sale.

Which product is affected?
The consumer recall concerns all LIPTON teas and herbal infusions – ELEPHANT herbal infusions marketed on Reunion Island between 04/06/2023 and 21/06/2023.
Recall Info
The reason for recalling this product is as follows: Non-compliance due to the presence of the insect Lasioderma serricorne in ELEPHANT and LIPTON products delivered to the Port of Reunion Island only for products purchased in store between June 4, 2023 and June 30, 2023.
The insect is not considered to be dangerous for humans. But for reasons of contamination, of external or other origin, or by putrefaction, deterioration or decomposition, it is recommended as a precaution to people who hold these products not to use them.
If you have purchased this product, the government instructions are clear: Stop consuming, stop using the product, contact consumer service and destroy the product.
A number (0969320070) has been set up to contact the brand’s consumer service. The end date of the recall procedure is set for 04/10/2023.
