The head of American diplomacy, Marco Rubio, called for an “inclusive” transition in Syria, in a telephone call with his Turkish counterpart whose country plays a key role in the region, the State Department said on Thursday.
He underlined “the need for an inclusive transition in Syria, ensuring that the new government prevents Syria from becoming a source of international terrorism,” said State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce, in A press release.
The call with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan took place on Wednesday, according to the text.
