“We are also open to dialogue with the new US administration on the Ukrainian conflict,” Putin said during a meeting with ministers broadcast on Russian television. “Regarding the resolution of the situation, I would like to emphasize that the objective should not be a brief truce (…) but a lasting peace,” he added.
