While global warming has exceeded for the first time in 2024 the threshold of 1.5°C compared to the pre-industrial period, the list of disasters continues to grow. This is evidenced by the floods at the end of October 2024 in Valencia, which cost the Spanish state more than 10 billion euros. At the same time, the French government unveiled a National Climate Change Adaptation Plan, aiming to adapt the country to a warming scenario of +4°C by the end of the century.
