Israel Warns Hezbollah: “If Ceasefire Agreement Is Violated, We Will Crush It”

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz visited southern Lebanon on Monday, accompanied by Division 91 Commander Brigadier General Shai Kalfer, to oversee security arrangements for the next stages of enforcement. of the ceasefire agreement. The minister also spoke with commanders and soldiers, expressing his high appreciation for their activities during the maneuver and for the protection of northern residents and communities.

“I came here to the IDF outpost, which overlooks the Shiite villages of Maroun al-Ras and Yaron, which posed a significant threat to the Galilee communities, to closely ensure that the IDF's gains in Lebanon are preserved,” explained the minister.

He added firmly: “We will not allow Hezbollah operatives to return to the villages of southern Lebanon and reestablish a terrorist infrastructure that threatens Israel's northern border, and we will guarantee the IDF's ability to continue to fully impose the reality on the ground.”

This visit comes against a backdrop of persistent tensions along the Israeli-Lebanese border, despite the recently concluded ceasefire agreement. Israeli forces maintain a reinforced presence in the region to ensure compliance with the new security arrangements.
