Ofpra, the agency responsible for examining asylum applications, indicated that it was monitoring the situation in Syria “carefully”, adding that “this may lead to temporarily suspending decision-making on certain asylum applications from Syrian nationals.” , depending on the reasons given.

The poll illustrates the different reactions that have graced the political scene since the capture of Damascus by rebel groups on Sunday, December 8. On the CNEWS set, the president of the RN Jordan Bardella had already sounded the alarm: “What is happening in Syria must alarm us: a migratory danger is perhaps before us,” had -he warned Thursday December 12.
