After more than twenty years on the run, one of America’s most wanted men arrested in Wales

“No matter how long it takes, the FBI will find you and hold you accountable,” FBI Director Christopher Wray said after the arrest of fugitive Daniel Andreas San Diego. The 46-year-old American was captured in Wales by officers from the National Crime Agency (NCA) and the United Kingdom’s counter-terrorism police after twenty years on the run.

Daniel Andreas San Diego was on America’s most wanted list. He is suspected of being linked to double bombings that occurred in 2003. One in front of a biotechnology company and the other a month later in a nutrition company, Shaklee Corp, which caused no injuries. The FBI called Daniel Andreas an “animal rights extremist” because the companies in his sights carried out experiments on animals. He was described as a vegan computer specialist by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. “There is a right and a wrong way to express your opinions in our country, and resorting to violence and destruction of property is not the right way,” Chrisopher Wray also said.
