On Wednesday, November 27, the European Parliament must validate the Ursula von der Leyen II Commission after hearing, at the beginning of November, the 26 commissioners designated by the member states. The whole issue is knowing what majority she will obtain: in July, the outgoing president had obtained 401 votes (out of the 720 MEPs in the Parliament), knowing that this time, a simple majority of those present and not members, which leaves little doubt about the final result.

On the other hand, symbolically, it is important to obtain at least 361 votes (i.e. the absolute majority of members), like all previous Commissions. However, this time, it is doubtful that Ursula von der Leyen will obtain the same majority as in July, because the loss of votes from the center (Renew) and the left (socialists and greens who, without being part of the majority , brought them their votes) risks being important, they do not
