The story is appalling: they kill their 2-year-old daughter and continue to peacefully carry her corpse around in a stroller.

Isabella Jonas-Wheildon, 2, was found dead in a stroller in June 2024, in England. This Friday, November 22, her father was found guilty of the murder of the little girl, while the mother was found guilty of another offense of homicide.

The facts are horrible. Friday June 30, 2023, the body of a 2-year-old girl, Isabella, was discovered in a stroller in Ipswich, England. She died four days earlier, on the evening of Monday June 26, reports a long press release from the Sufflok police, spotted by BFM.

Fractures, bruises, embolism…

Isabella had suffered fractures to both wrists and her pelvis and also had significant bruising all over her body. As a result of this abuse, she died of a bone marrow embolism and skeletal trauma, the autopsy determined.

On the evening of June 26, the little girl reportedly suffered a fatal attack and began to have difficulty breathing. Her parents realized that she had died shortly before midnight and claimed to have tried to give her cardiac massage.

They push the body in a stroller

Thirty minutes later, the couple goes out shopping. Over the next three days, they continued to live “Normally”pushing Isabella's body in a stroller, reports the Sufflok police press release. They notably took the bus to go shopping in town and went to the pub.

During the week, Ms Gleason-Mitchell contacted a friend and told her something bad had happened, before revealing Isabella was dead and her body was in a pram in the bathroom from their apartment.

Found guilty

This friend contacted the police. When officers entered the apartment, they discovered Isabella's body in the stroller in the bathroom, as had been described. The couple fled and were arrested on July 1.

This Friday, November 22, 2024, Scott Jeff was found guilty of the murder of Isabella Jonas-Wheildon by Ipswich Crown Court, following a trial which lasted eight weeks. Chelsea Gleason-Mitchell, 24, was found guilty of causing or permitting the death of her child.

The couple have been remanded in custody pending a sentencing hearing which will be held at Ipswich Crown Court on Friday 13 December 2024.
