The Prime Minister was not at the scene, but the incident remains “grave” for security services. Three suspects were arrested after two flares were fired near the private residence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday, November 16, police and the Shin Bet (internal security service) announced on Sunday.

“Around 7:30 p.m. [17h30 à ]two flares landed in the front yard” the Prime Minister’s private residence in Caesarea, in the center of the country, according to a joint statement from the two services. The origin of the shots was not specified. The court ordered a ban on the publication of information on the investigation or the identity of the suspects for a period of 30 days.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog condemned the incident and warned against “an escalation of violence in the public sphere”. “I just spoke with the head of the Shin Bet and insisted on the urgency of investigating” and to place the authors before their responsibilities “as soon as possible”declared the manager on the X network.

On October 22, a drone was fired in the direction of this same residence and hit a “structure” of Caesarea, the Prime Minister’s office announced. Also absent at that time, the Prime Minister then accused “Hezbollah, ally of Iran”to have “tent” to murder him and his wife. Three days later, the Lebanese Islamist movement Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the attack.

Israel’s military offensives in the Middle East continue. Israeli army attacks have killed 43,799 people in the Gaza Strip, according to the Hamas health ministry, and it continues to bombard the Lebanese capital Beirut.
