The peasant confederation is calling for a rally against the EU-Mercosur agreement in front of the Ministry of Economy and Finance this November 13.
The FNSEA, for its part, calls on farmers to demonstrate on November 15.
French farmers are ready to take to the streets again. Less than a year after a large-scale movement, the agricultural mobilization is starting again in France and should increase in the coming days. In question, among other things, the feeling that the mobilizations of winter 2024 have not changed much and that the promises made have not been broken. Furthermore, the possible signing of the Mercosur trade agreement and climatic hazards contribute to exacerbating the discontent of the profession.
From mid-October, the majority union alliance FNSEA-JA called for national actions once winter sowing was completed.“from mid-November”. TF1info takes stock of what we know, for the moment, of the actions planned for the coming days.

The Peasant Confederation, the third union force and heir to the anti-globalization struggles, has already announced that it is planning actions against the “free trade agreements” or “land grabbing by energy companies”.

Traveling to Toulouse on October 31, Arnaud Rousseau, the president of the National Federation of Operators’ Unions (FNSEA) called for “the resumption of actions” Friday November 15, like the Young Farmers, with demonstrations and blockades.
The two agricultural unions are still demanding a decent income and categorically refuse the signing of the EU-Mercosur agreement.
“Agricultural revolt” starting November 19
Rural Coordination, the second agricultural union in France, promises “an agricultural revolt” from November 19, calling on farmers to demonstrate that day in front of the prefectures. In a press release from the Lot-et-Garonne Rural Coordination released on November 4 and signed by the two co-presidents, Karine Duc and José Perez, CR47 calls for total mobilization.
A demonstration in front of the Agen prefecture has been postponed and set for November 19 to give farmers time to organize. “We must take long-term action, with total impact,” indicated José Pérez, one of the co-presidents of CR47, to our colleagues at La Dépêche du Midi .
“Food freight blockage” from November 20?
This demonstration on November 19 aims to “request a final burst from the government”, specifies the Rural Coordination, emphasizing that “without a strong and immediate decision from the State until then”farmers could organize a blockade, from November 20, of “French food freight, in order to give the government a taste of what our country will be like tomorrow, without farmers”.

Angry farmers: why the mobilization is resuming almost everywhere in France
As a reminder, last winter, agricultural anger led to a blockage of highways for several weeks in most departments, to the point of paralyzing the Paris suburbs.
This Tuesday morning, the Minister of Agriculture Annie Genevard, who said “to understand” the anger of farmers, issued some warnings on TF1. “We must (…) no violence against the police, no damage to public property because it is ultimately the taxpayer who pays for it, no disorder as we approach the Christmas holidays which are so important for our small traders, our artisans”, she notably declared. “We must be able to transport food, (…) serve the businesses from which the French get their supplies. (…) I invite everyone to be responsible,” she added, calling not to “not break or damage (the) link between the French and farmers”.
