The official Syrian agency Sana reported on Saturday that several soldiers were injured in Israeli air raids near Aleppo (north). The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (OSDH) indicates that these strikes targeted military installations.
‘The Israeli army launched an aerial assault from southeast Aleppo, targeting a number of sites in the Aleppo and Idlib countryside, resulting in a number of soldiers being injured and casualties material,’ Sana said, citing a military source.
The strikes took place around 12:45 a.m. (11:45 p.m. Swiss time), according to the agency.
Since the start of Syria’s civil war in 2011, Israel has carried out hundreds of strikes on the neighboring country targeting the Syrian army and Tehran-backed groups, including Hezbollah, deployed in support of Syrian government forces.
The rate of these strikes has increased in recent weeks.
