These projections give the president-elect 78.3 million votes, or 50%, compared to 75.8 million votes, or 48.5%, for Kamala Harris and 2.3 million votes, or 1.5%, for the others. candidates. Thus, despite his decisive victory in the Electoral College, Trump will be at the head of a country where half of the voters opposed his candidacy.

For the record: in 2020, Joe Biden received 81.3 million votes, or 51.3%, compared to 74.2 million votes, or 46.8%, for Donald Trump.
