Harris and Trump: the latest ads

What are the latest ads that presidential candidates are counting on in the final sprint of the presidential campaign? Each of them broadcasts more than one, of course. But it is clear that Kamala Harris, to begin with, wants to convince undecided voters of the danger represented by a second term for Donald Trump in the White House. The point here is not the danger the man poses to American democracy, although the question is not entirely evaded, but rather the danger he poses to the programs that middle-class Americans rely on. , particularly in matters of health and retirement.

Trump, for his part, devotes an effective ad to a Harris statement to which I have already devoted a post. This is the Democratic candidate’s response to the question of whether there is anything she would have done differently than Joe Biden. “Nothing that comes to mind,” she replied to a host of the show The View. In the Republican ad, this response is heard after the narrator’s mention of the migrant crisis, galloping inflation and “global chaos”.
