French President Emmanuel Macron said Friday that “stopping arms exports” used in Gaza and Lebanon was “the only lever” to end hostilities, without calling for Israel to be disarmed. reports Le Monde.

Emmanuel Macron also deemed it “completely unacceptable” that the peacekeepers of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) were “deliberately targeted by the Israeli armed forces” in southern Lebanon, warning that France “will not tolerate” new shots after those of the last two days.
