Invaded by a hundred raccoons, she calls the police for help

An American woman learned despite herself that it is really not recommended to feed raccoons after finding herself invaded by a hundred of these animals, forcing her to take refuge in her car and call the police at home. ‘help.

The woman who lives in Poulsbo, northwest of Seattle, Washington, had been feeding the raccoons for 35 years, Kitsap County police said in a video posted Monday on Facebook.

However, things got worse six weeks ago, before reaching a climax on October 3, when the woman had no other choice but to run away from her home to escape these animals.

“The woman says raccoons often surround her day and night begging for food,” the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office said.

“She said she was offered prices of up to US$500 per raccoon to trap and relocate them,” authorities said.

Officers referred the woman to the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife to resolve her issue.

“Feeding raccoons can create undesirable situations for you, your children, your neighbors, your pets and the raccoons themselves. Raccoons fed by people often lose their fear of humans and can become aggressive if they are not fed as intended,” it is also possible to read on the ministry’s website.
