LThe man has no longer been in since 2023. Son of Osama bin Laden, Omar bin Laden left the territory in 2023, after being targeted by an expulsion measure from the territory with withdrawal of his residence permit, accompanied by a ban back in France for two years, specifies the newspaper The Parisianinformed by the Ministry of the Interior. According to the newspaper The Free PublisherOmar Bin Laden, who now lives in Qatar, was indicted for advocating terrorism because of a tweet published on May 2 of the same year, Osama Bin Laden’s birthday. “History is only written with the blood of these people – to tell the story of these martyrs who made history, built nations and brought glory. Their blood is the lifeline of our faith until the day of judgment. Rest in peace,” wrote the account @omarbinladin1, now suspended. Osama bin Laden’s son has always denied being the author.

The Minister of the Interior, Bruno Retailleau, indicated this Tuesday, October 8 on his X account (formerly Twitter) that he had also issued a “territory ban” against him. “I am pronouncing today an administrative ban on the territory against Mr. Omar Binladin, eldest son of the international terrorist Osama Bin Laden. Mr. Binladin, who has lived in Orne for several years as the spouse of a British national, hosted comments on his social networks in 2023 that were an apology for terrorism. Consequently, the prefect of Orne took an OQTF and obtained the departure of Mr. Binladin. Justice confirmed the legality of this decision taken for national security. The administrative ban on the territory guarantees the impossibility for Mr. Binladin to return to France for any reason whatsoever,” he communicates.

Omar Bin Laden lived in in Domfront-en-Poiraie, where he worked as a painter. According to information from Le Parisien, Osama Bin Laden’s son had launched an appeal against this decision, rejected this Friday, October 4 by the courts. On France 3 in 2022, he spoke about his childhood spent with his father, first in Sudan, then in Afghanistan. “Sometimes people judge you on your father,” he said, referring mainly to the Arab countries where he stayed after leaving Afghanistan. “But here I feel very free. I feel freed from responsibility for my father’s actions (…) No one judges me, they respect me and they leave me in peace.” He was delighted: “in France, I became an artist!” »
