Operations continue in Lebanon

On the front with Hezbollah in Lebanon, Israeli Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi affirmed his determination to strike “without respite” the pro-Iranian movement, 440 fighters of which have been killed since Monday according to Israel. Contact with Hachem Safieddine, expected to succeed the leader of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, has notably been “lost” since Israeli strikes, according to an official of the powerful Lebanese movement.

In the evening, the Israeli army launched new calls for residents to evacuate areas of the southern suburbs of Beirut.
