Chakib Benmoussa sends a message to teachers

The fundamental role of the teaching profession within the education system requires it to adapt to societal and cultural changes and accelerated scientific development, said Saturday in Rabat, the Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sports, Chakib Benmoussa.

The objective is to face the challenges and anticipate the changes linked to the teaching profession, able to develop teaching practices and deepen their impact on the achievements of students, underlined Benmoussa in a message of thanks and esteem addressed to the executives of the education system, on the occasion of World Teachers’ Day.

“In accordance with the High Royal Guidelines, in application of the content of the 2022-2026 roadmap and to establish milestones for the reform of the education system according to a clear strategic vision and a participatory approach, we salute the fundamental role of the teaching staff and its dedication to the transfer of knowledge in the service of the progress and prosperity of the Kingdom,” said the minister.

With the aim of improving the productivity of the education system and establishing a system guaranteeing the same benefits for all personnel in the sector, subject to the same duties and obligations, the government has made “an exceptional effort” within the framework social dialogue, particularly in terms of improving their income, unifying their professional paths and opening new perspectives, while working to resolve pending cases and improve the attractiveness of the profession of ‘teacher.

The new unified status of civil servants of the Ministry in charge of National Education, he maintained, applied to all, constitutes an important step in the process of valuing and motivating staff in this sector, in accordance with the principles of equality, fairness and merit, noting the efforts made by his Department for its implementation, able to promote the role of teachers and highlight their skills. The ministry, he said, is committed to implementing a series of initiatives, programs and projects for the in-depth transformation of the role of teachers, citing, in this sense, investment in training and the consolidation of the attractiveness of this profession through the restructuring of basic training courses and the revision and improvement of associated programs, in addition to the improvement of continuing training with regard to its impact on renewal and improvement of professional skills and the development of practices of learners, men and women.

At the same time, Benmoussa recalled the efforts of these teachers who embody the values ​​of sacrifice, self-sacrifice and sense of responsibility that have marked the rising generations.

The minister thus expressed his thanks to all components of the teaching profession in all regions of the Kingdom, and valued their efforts made in favor of their students, while calling on them to continue action to achieve the expected objectives. , namely the building of a quality public school for all which meets the aspirations of the society of challenge and development, under the wise leadership of King Mohammed VI.
