French actor Michel Blanc has died at the age of 72

Michel Blanc had played the role of Jean-Claude Dusse in the various films The Bronzedfilmed with his partners from Splendid in the 70s. He had recently expressed the desire to work again with the troupe. “Doing things together, yes, but not “Les bronzés”. We no longer know how to do that humor. It was almost fifty years ago, the world has evolved,” he confided to Match.

In 1986, he received the prize for best actor at the Film Festival for the film by Bertrand Blier Evening wear. He plays the role of Antoine, alongside Miou-Miou and Gérard Depardieu. Having become an essential figure in French cinema, Michel Blanc has multiplied roles and genres. We can cite in particular films such as: “Papy makes the resistance”, “Come to my house, I live with a friend”, “Walk in the shade”, “Kiss whoever you want” and “Grosse Fatigue”.

Born in 1952, he met his theater partners on the benches of the Pasteur high school in Neuilly-sur-Seine. In 1974, the Splendid troupe was formed. It is composed of Christian Clavier, Michel Blanc, Gérard Jugnot, Thierry Lhermitte, Josiane Balasko and Bruno Moynot.
