Wanting to join Florida from the Virgin Islands, these four tourists had an accident at sea, causing the loss of their boat. Alerted, the authorities have managed to save them.

Their adventure could have turned into drama. Four Americans, who wanted to join the Florida from the virgin boat islands, had to take refuge on a lifting raft after their sailboat struck two submerged rocks and flowed, CBS report.

Found thanks to the distress signal

A few minutes after the accident, the four tourists, aged between 26 and 67, managed to deploy their lifeline while the sailboat sank. Fortunately, they were also able to trigger their distress signal so that help can locate them.

The alerted coast guard have diverted a huge ship over 200 meters as well as a small fishing boat to rescue them. They were then taken care of, 300 kilometers northwest of Puerto Rico. According to the authorities, men do not suffer from any injury and should not be taken care of in hospital when they return to the United States.
