Vincent Lindon is playing “playing with fire”, he is also preparing to reveal an intimate and overwhelming facet of his life in “Bloody Heart”, a documentary that will be broadcast on January 29 on the YouTube channel Arte. True to his filter without style, the actor evokes a delicate subject: his own death, which he has meticulously anticipated.
The magazine “Gala”, in its January 23, 2025 edition, reveals extracts. Vincent Lindon talks about his mother there, Alix Dufaure, a journalist whom he “loved to die”, but also of his father, suffering from a cerebellar degeneration. He confides: “He died eleven years before his death.”
These family tragedies, to which is added the death of his brother Sylvain to 59 years in 2022, seem to have shaped his relationship with finitude. Father of two children, Marcel (born in 1996) and Suzanne (born in 2000, fruit of her relationship with Sandrine Kiberlain), Vincent Lindon, reached Gilles de la Tourette syndrome, has everything planned for her own departure. “Gala” tells us that he is “the 55th version of his will” and that he even suggested to his loved ones to use “his vocal pastilles on the day of his funeral”. “He even thought of music, moving at will, so that we cry to more tears,” reports the magazine.
