On Wednesday, January 20, around 8:30 p.m., a call reporting a desperate person attempting suicide came to police in San Antonio, Texas, from a relative of the person concerned.
The first police officer to arrive outside the apartment complex north of the city was met with bullets and was hit in the leg. A second who followed him was also injured, then a third, a fourth… seven agents in all were hit, according to BNO News. For four of the police officers, it was clarified that their lives were not in danger, but details are lacking for the other three.
The maniac, barricaded in his home, was found dead, shot, but it is not yet known whether he committed suicide or was hit by police fire. SWAT agents and a helicopter were notably called in for reinforcement.
The shooter is a man in his forties who was released on bail after being arrested… three times last weekend. Twice for assault, once for drunkenness.
