Fleeing at 250 km/h, he is pinched following a lack of fuel

Saturday evening around 9:30 p.m., a car was checked at 180 km/h on the A7 motorway, near Étoile-sur-Rhône (Drôme), near Valence.

Gendarmes from a Rapid Intervention Team (ERI) intervened, but the driver refused to comply and continued his crazy chase. Twenty-five kilometers further, he even reached a peak of 250 km/h.

Ultimately, the fugitive was not really caught, but was “betrayed” by his tank. He was arrested “following… a fuel shortage”, reports “Le Dauphiné”.

The man was taken into custody for “high speed and aggravated refusal to obey”. His license was revoked and his car, an Audi, was impounded.
