A Flixbus bus accident between Berlin and Szczecin (Poland) left two dead and eleven injured on Saturday in Germany. The causes remain unknown.
A Flixbus bus linking Berlin to Szczecin, Poland, was involved in a serious accident on Saturday afternoon, killing two people.
The accident, which occurred on a highway in northern Germany, caused the death of two passengers and left several injured. According to a company press release relayed by AFP, 14 people, including the driver, were on board at the time of the tragedy.
Two dead and several injured hospitalized
Among the victims are a 29-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man, according to local police. The other passengers, eleven in number, were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. The bus driver was also injured.
For now, «the exact circumstances of the accident are not yet known»indicated Flixbus. Images relayed by German media show the bus lying on its side, near a guardrail and not far from thick piles of snow.
This is not the first time that the company has been faced with a tragedy of this type. In March 2024, another Flixbus bus accident, which occurred in eastern Germany, caused the death of four women and injured many of the 54 passengers on board.
