The controversies continued on Tuesday January 7, regarding the evolution of relations between Rome and Mr. Musk's empire, « ami » of the president of the nationalist council, Giorgia Meloni, and now outrageous godfather of the European extreme right.

The latest series of skirmishes to date regarding the billionaire was triggered by the publication on Sunday, by the Bloomberg press agency, of information reporting an acceleration of negotiations between Italy and SpaceX, in subject of a public contract worth an estimated 1.5 billion euros.
According to Bloomberg, talks have resumed thanks to the meeting between Mme Meloni and Mr. Trump on Saturday at Mar-a-Lago. The project concerns the supply by SpaceX's Starlink device of a communications system intended for the Italian authorities and the armed forces operating in the Mediterranean. According to the news agency, the project was approved by the intelligence services and the defense ministry in Rome.
