K'netha Faggart explains that she immediately felt a strong burn. “When I went into the bathroom to turn on the water and tried to put some in my eye, my finger was stuck to it,” she said.

A common incident

Taken to the hospital by her daughter, the resident of Concord, Massachusetts, was taken care of by nurses who were unable to open her eye. “My eyelid was glued to my eyeball,” K’netha remembers. The doctor subsequently noticed that his globe was scratched.
