No question of throwing in the towel. Joe Biden has announced that he refuses to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race. The American president has been under pressure since his poor performance in his debate against Donald Trump last week.

On Wednesday, Joe Biden met with 24 Democratic governors. Several said after the meeting that the president was in good health. “Yes, he is qualified to be president. He has been doing it for three and a half years, under difficult circumstances. No one denies that his performance Thursday night was poor, but that does not affect his performance as president,” Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz said.

According to a recent poll, a third of Democrats believe Joe Biden would be too old to run again. “I don’t think Joe Biden is the best person to run in this election. I don’t know who would be the best person. But I don’t trust Joe Biden to win this election and that scares me a lot,” worries one Democratic voter.

According to the New York Times, Biden has told close allies that he has just days to convince voters and his party that he is fit for office. If he fails to do so, his candidacy could be in doubt.
