Palestinian sources reported that two Hamas battalions are not participating in the fighting against the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip, in order to preserve themselves to restore the military capabilities of the terrorist group and regain control of the Palestinian territory after the end of war, Kan reported Tuesday.

These two battalions, which are located in Deir al-Balah, in the center of the Gaza Strip and Khan Younes, in the south, have been instructed to avoid participating in fighting as much as possible, in order to maintain their capabilities. and constitute a reserve force to regain control of the territory. Khan Yunis’ battalion had migrated to Rafah during the Israeli offensive in the city in order not to suffer losses. Its members had integrated into the civilian population fleeing the fighting. At the end of Israeli military operations in Khan Yunis and the beginning of those in Rafah, they returned to their base town.
