There was also reportedly a spike in searches when Trump’s victory was announced in key states like North Carolina, Georgia and Pennsylvania, between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m.

It was around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday morning that there were the most searches for both expressions, according to Google Trends.

Residents of Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire, Minnesota and Michigan are most likely to consider moving to this side of the border.

In 2016, during the election of Donald Trump, such a trend was observed.
