The 10th Ministerial Conference of the Forum on China-Arab Cooperation (FOCAC) adopted the Beijing Declaration, the FOCAC Implementation Plan for 2024-2026 and a joint statement by China and States on Thursday in the Chinese capital. Arabs on the Palestinian question.

During the conference, China also signed a number of bilateral and multilateral cooperation documents with participating countries and the General Secretariat of the Arab League.

The Beijing Declaration reviews the important consensus and progress in implementing the outcomes of the first China-Arab States Summit, held in 2022 in Saudi Arabia, and explains the practical path forward to promote the construction of a Sino-Arab community with a shared future.

It reaffirms that China and Arab States will continue to support each other’s core interests and deepen pragmatic cooperation, especially in terms of dialogue among civilizations, global governance, artificial intelligence and climate change.

The implementation plan, for its part, outlines the path to follow to strengthen the construction of a forum mechanism over the next two years, and promote bilateral and multilateral cooperation in areas such as politics, economy and trade, investment, finance, infrastructure, resources and environment, cultural exchange, aerospace, education and health.

The joint statement expresses the deep concern of China and Arab States over the prolonged conflict in Gaza, which has resulted in a humanitarian crisis.

It highlights in particular the firm position and the important consensus of the two parties to promote a ceasefire in Gaza, guarantee humanitarian aid, oppose the forced displacement of the Palestinian people and work tirelessly for a rapid resolution of the issue Palestinian on the basis of the two-state solution.

The 10th Ministerial Conference of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum was held with the participation of Morocco, represented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita.

This conference, which marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Forum, represents an important milestone in bilateral cooperation, with both sides determined to raise their cooperative relations to higher levels.
